Discover what Supermetrics is and how it serves as a powerful data integration tool for marketing analytics. Learn about its

In marketing, knowing your audience, where they come from and what their habits are, is a key step in generating quality leads. But with so many sources of data available on the Internet, this task quickly becomes back-breaking if done manually. As the number of data sources grows, aggregation tools such as Supermetrics enable you to analyze all channels in record time. In this article, find out all you need to know about Supermectrics and its features.

What is Supermetrics?

Founded in 2013, Supermetrics is a marketing data aggregation platform. Used by over half a million people and partners of 17,000 companies, this solution enables the creation of comprehensive, automatic reporting.

Simple to use, its interface nevertheless requires some technical knowledge, but offers data marketing professionals a comprehensive tool for data aggregation and automatic analysis.

How does Supermetrics work?

Supermetrics is the gateway between data sources and analysis or data warehouse tools. Capable of handling over 100 analysis sources, Supermetrics is one of the most comprehensive solutions on the market.

The platform collects data from a multitude of channels:

  • Web Analytics: Google Analytics, Google My Business, Google Search Console, SEMrush
  • E-commerce: Shopify, Stripe, Klaviyo
  • Sales: Salesforce, CallRail Salesforce, CallRail
  • Email: Mailchimp, HubSpot
  • Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, VKontatke, Quora

Supermetrics then aggregates these sources into data analysis tools, data warehouses or cloud storage systems:

  • Analysis: Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Excel
  • Warehouse: BigQuery
  • Cloud: Azure, Snowflake

In addition to collecting all the data required, the platform offers pre-generated reporting templates that can filter data according to the needs of its user or chosen destination.

Supermetrics can also schedule the harvesting and reporting of data.

The user can decide whether the program should harvest each source daily, weekly or even monthly. The same option for report generation is also available.

To ensure data security for its partners, Supermetrics does not save any harvested data, and even encrypts data and generated reports.

How do I use Supermetrics on Google Sheets?

Supermetrics adds to the spreadsheets and metrics already available in Google Sheets. The program works as an extension to be installed from the Google Chrome Web Store.

Once installed, the user simply selects the data sources, chooses the marketing platform of interest, defines the metrics to be used and schedules a harvesting and formatting period.

This operation is the same for all Supermetrics-compatible data sources.

How much does Supermetrics cost?

Supermetrics works on a subscription basis, with prices varying according to users’ needs and the destination tools they want to use. Prices start at €19 per month and can go up to €500. Data sources are unlocked as the subscription price increases.

Nevertheless, some channels require direct contact with the platform to obtain a quote or margin.

Like many other tools, Supermetrics offers free access to the platform for 14 days.

What are the alternatives to Supermetrics?

Due to its potentially high price tag for small companies or startups, or the skills required for optimal use, other alternatives are available on the market, including Windsor.ai, the most reliable alternative to Supermetrics. Compared to SuperMetrics, this tool enables a better understanding of the consumer journey, prioritizing marketing touchpoints and maximizing ROI.

As a second option, Funnel.io, an ETL (extract, transform and load) platform, is also a good alternative. It offers over 500 sources and integrated dashboards that are much easier to use than Supermetrics.
