The genesis of the partnership
A bilateral collaboration between Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and DataScientest has been in place since 2019. This makes the university DataScientest’s longest-standing academic partner.
Since October 2020, all Data Analyst, Data Scientist, and Data Engineer courses offered by DataScientest have been certified by Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University. This means that the university has closely examined the content and course materials, and accredited that they meet the educational level and learning outcomes we advertise.
A permanent exchange
As part of the Spring 2020 lockdown, DataScientest also granted the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne access to its online coding platform. Since then, this platform has been a firm foundation of the Data Science Master offered “Master parcours Modélisations statistiques économiques et financières (MOSEF)” which is a Master’s degree in Economic and Financial Statistical Modelling.
In addition, Data Science professors from DataScientest work at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, and in return, professors from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne work for DataScientest. Some alumni of this Master’s program have also already started working for DataScientest as Data Scientists after graduation.
In March, DataScientest also offered a guest lecture on Deep Learning for all students who were in their second year of the Master. Here, the students were able to benefit from the extensive knowledge of Charles Sutton, co-founder and CTO of DataScientest.
What are the advantages of this certification for the job market?
Upon successful completion of a training program at DataScientest, the learner receives a certificate issued by the University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. This certificate from an internationally highly respected university often gives graduates a decisive advantage in later job applications. It is also one of DataScientest’s greatest unique selling points.
